When you order a server with our company's Windows operating system, you may encounter the following error message when using Remote Desktop Connection (RDP):
As a security precaution, the user account has been locked because there were too many logon attempts or password change attempts. Wait a while before trying again, or contact your system administrator or technical support.
The Chinese version of the Windows operating system error message is as follows:
为安全考虑,已锁定该用户帐户,原因是登录尝试或密码更改尝试过多。请稍后片刻再重试,或与系统管理员或技术支持联系。
This situation usually occurs after entering the wrong password multiple times, and the Windows system's security policy automatically locks the administrator account. This is a default security mechanism in Windows systems, designed to prevent brute-force attacks. When an incorrect password is entered consecutively multiple times (usually 5 times by default), the system will automatically lock the account for a period of time (usually 30 minutes by default).
You can disable the administrator account lockout policy by following these steps:
First, log in to your VDEcloud backend account, find the server where the error occurred, click to open it, and then find the console to enter the server operating system. If there is no console function, please submit a ticket directly to handle the administrator account being locked.
After entering the remote password to log in to the operating system, click the "Start" menu, select "Control Panel" =》"System and Security" =》"Administrative Tools" =》"Local Security Policy":

After completing the above settings, close all windows. You should now be able to use the Remote Desktop Connection normally.
Note that disabling administrator account lockout reduces system security. We recommend that you:
Set a strong password
Change your password regularly
Consider using a non-default administrator account name
